World Water Day is an annual event celebrated on March 22. The day focuses attention on the importance of fresh water and advocates for the sustainable management of freshwater resources. World Water Day is also used to highlight required improvements for access to water, sanitation and hygiene facilities in developing countries.
The Australian water saving shower invention Cullector Ultra Efficient Shower was created during Australia's devastating millennium drought. The worst drought since European settlement. The year 2006 was the driest on record in many parts of the country. The drought began in 1995 and continued Australia wide until late 2009.
Sadly many parts of Australia are once again declared drought affected and with less than average rainfall predicted it appears that the situation is set to become worse.
In many parts of the world climate change and population growth has resulted in water insecurity and every effort must be made to use water more wisely.
Doing more with less must become the new mantra and new and innovative products such as the Cullector Ultra Efficient Shower that provide an affordable solution to shower waste can only help preserve what is often referred to as the worlds most precious commodity.
